Who: Mid High Students
Where: Marietta FUMC
This weekend retreat features crazy good worship, off-campus adventures, and college and high school leaders ready to serve in BIG ways for THE BEST WEEKEND OF THE YEAR! Throughout this weekend, students play games, experience worship, hear challenging messages, and serve our local community. Most importantly, students will have the chance to unpack what they’ve experienced with upperclassmen and college leaders who have come to serve from universities throughout the Southeast.
Mid High Mission Trip
The Mid-High Mission Trip allows students who have just completed the 6th grade through 8th grade a chance to experience mission work for the first time. In the past, students have worked in the St. Simons/Brunswick area, Orlando, FL and Gulf Shores, AL, to being along the NC/SC coastline serving churches and NGOs in Myrtle Beach, SC and Wilmington, NC. On past trips, they have done landscaping at a school, and cleaned and prepared a building for a homeless shelter, ran food pantries, organized clothes, and disaster relief. They also enjoy some time at the beach, mountains or theme parks!
Spring Break Mission Trip
The Spring Break Costa Rica allows Senior High students who have just completed the 8th grade through 12th grade a chance to experience mission work overseas. In partnership with Praying Pelican Missions and the local community of Nambi and Santa Ana, students get the chance to share the Gospel, work in the community, and build relationships that will last forever! This past trip, they worked on a feeding program's facility, VBSs, facilitated and led women's ministry, children, and senior adult events. Students also get the chance to enjoy the local culture, food, and beauty!
